Text Box: Fun run coming up April 22

Text Box: The First Annual Habitat for Humanity of Box Butte County Snake Creek Trail 5K Fun Run/Walk is set for Saturday, April 22. The race is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the Laing Lake parking lot near Box Butte and Burnham Drive. On-site registration begins at 8:30 a.m. 
Prizes will be given to overall male and female winners and age group winners. Age groups are: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
The registration fee is $25, which includes the cost of the t-shirt, and checks can be made payable to HFH. Registration forms can be found inside this newsletter on page 3. For questions, please contact event coordinator Karen Fischer at (308) 762-7732.

Text Box: Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications for the Board of Directors. There are five seats open on the 12-member board. Terms are three years and members are asked to attend monthly meetings, plan to commit 2-3 hours per week to Habitat affairs and attend Habitat events and promotions from time to time. 
Each board member is expected to be involved in at least one committee, take part in the budget process, and be involved in the long range planning for the affiliate while carrying out the mission of the organization.
Elections are planned for the annual meeting scheduled for May 17 at 7 p.m. at the HFH office.
