Family
selected for house

The family selection committee is
excited to introduce the family
that will be moving into Habitat
for Humanity's first home in Box
Butte County.
Terry and Elizabeth Kelley have seven children;
Terry, 11, Shaylee, 9, Stephen, 7,
Antoinette, 5,
Jonathan, 4, Rebecca, 3, and Avington, 1.
Elizabeth is an Alliance native, and Terry has
lived here for 17 years. He is employed
at
Triangle Electric, while she is a stay-at-home
mom, homeschooling her children.
The couple said they are very excited and
thankful for the opportunity that Habitat is
providing their family.
"I'm very much excited," Elizabeth said. "I think
it's wonderful they're getting Habitat
started up
here in Box Butte County."
She added that she intends to stay involved with
Habitat as a volunteer even after her
home is built.
"I'm looking forward to helping out in future
years."
The home will be located near the corner of 16th
and Buchfinck, on a lot donated by
the City of
Alliance. Groundbreaking is set for Sept. 17 at 3
p.m. The public is
encouraged to attend.
