Volunteers Still Needed for Gulf Coast Building

Operation Home Delivery has been making great progress over the last several months. Currently, 220 homes are under construction and nearly 80 have been completed along the Gulf Coast. There is much more to build and the number of available volunteers is beginning to run short.

Habitat International would like local corporate, church or individual volunteers to respond to this request for assistance. To organize a group, please contact the Operation Home Delivery volunteer coordinator at ohdresponse2@habitat.org  or call 800-422-4828, ext. 2183.

There is much more work to do for many, many months to come in the Gulf Coast area.  Locations and volunteer needs are listed below. Please provide at least one week of service.

• Thibodaux, La. (250 volunteers per week until Sept. 2006
• Slidell, La.  (90 volunteers a week until January, 2007
• Beaumont, Tex. (50-75 volunteers a week until December, 2006
• Lauderdale County, Meridian, Miss. (22 vol. per wk. until August, 2006)
• Biloxi, Miss (30 volunteers a week until December, 2006)
• Bay St. Louis, Miss. (20 volunteers a week until December, 2006)
• Mobile, Ala. (20 volunteers a week until October, 2006)
