ALLIANCE – All of fall’s best
will be offered at the first annual Harvest Fest next weekend, sponsored by
Habitat for Humanity of Box Butte County.
The festival is set for Saturday, Oct. 14 with
a family carnival from 3-7 p.m. and an adult dance from
8-midnight at the American Legion in Alliance.
The carnival will feature games, hay rides, a
petting zoo, pumpkin and face painting and goodies like apple cider,
carameled apples, popcorn balls and cotton candy. Also, for dinner, there
will be hot dogs and brats for sale.
Carnival games will include a pumpkin ring
toss, sucker draw, beanbag toss, candy walk, wheel spin, darts and a jug
throw. Also, there will be a sand art craft and a chance to take a photo
with a scarecrow.
The adults-only dance will feature Mike
Glesinger’s country and rock DJ service, and there will be a money raffle
and auction. Several auction items have been donated, including artwork and
handmade crafts.
Presale tickets for all events are now on sale
and are available by calling Rikki Stewart at 762-4306.
Children’s tickets are $5 and include a
hayride, one carnival game and a meal. Adult tickets are $7 and include a

Additional carnival games are just 25 cents,
and there are also individual prices for all food and activities throughout
the day.
All proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity
of Box Butte County.
